Kansas City?s Fraternal Order of Police leaders have scheduled a special meeting Tuesday night to discuss the proposed health care insurance changes being sought by city?officials.

FOP President Brad Dumit told me today he couldn?t release much detail about what?s being discussed by the FOP and the city; he?s hoping things will be negotiated over the next few?days.

The Board of Police Commissioners on Feb. 28 is scheduled to discuss and possibly decide the fate of joining the city?s health insurance?plan.

The particulars on the FOP?Meeting:

?The KCFOP Lodge 99 will have an informational meeting open to all members & mon-members where questions will be answered and updates given on the current insurance issues. Additionally, the FOP will be soliciting ideas, help and support as we press?forward.

This is an open meeting When: Tuesday February 21, 2012 Where: 7048 Universal Time: The meeting starts at 6?p.m.
